Meet Olivia she is just 21 months of age and meet her beautiful mama Erin,

Erin had a hard delivery with Olivia. She had a healthy pregnancy but during delivery she almost lost her daughter She got stuck and went 8 minutes without oxygen or a heart beat. She spent 2 weeks in the neonatal unit. Following this they found out she had a tethered spine and needed surgery at just 4 months of age.
During this time her mama got sick with a severe infection and was diagnosed with Graves disease (thyroid issues) but it wasnt getting better with medication. So Erin had opted to have her thyroid removed. In march of 2010 after it was removed i had the shocking news that inside my thyroid was a follicular carcinoma the size of a concord grape. I was referred to the cross cancer institute and had my first radio iodine treatment in August of last year.
“The prognosis is good but i have been having a big struggle with my medications treatments and emotions”
Olivia and mama are doing better and we have our fingers crossed they continue on a great path.
