Once I am a photographer what do I need to do?

Join our forum and FB group, interact with the other many photographers, get word out about MLM, Have patience and understanding as you may not have an MLM session right away.
 

What does a photographer have to provide to families?

#1-A session (Minimum 1 hour)
#2-Disc of minimum 15-20 pictures (Or minimum 15-20 prints if you do not do discs)

Am I allowed to give more than 10 pictures?

We actually encourage you to give as many files as you can to the families.
 

Can I gift the families other products?

YES you can gift your families anything you want but we may not be able to showcase what you give as extra’s as we have some photographers unable to do the same.
 

Can I charge my families for extras?

NO ABSOLUTELY NOT, you can NEVER charge an MLM session for any sort of product, pictures, extras etc…
 

Why have I not received a session yet?

We cannot control how many sessions are coming into MLM, if you know there has been no sessions in your area then feel free to spread the word about us a bit more. We work day and night in each community that has a photographer and try to spread the word. We are VERY diligent, way more motivated in making sure all our photographers are at ease and has a first session. we are REALLY trying to get everyone a first session.
 

When will I get a session?

When a family applies in your area or you’re the next photographer on the list for your area in the case of multiple photographers.

I really want to share my families story now do I still have to wait?

Yes we do ask you to wait until MLM can do a feature story and make sure there are no privacy concerns with the family after that based on the families wishes we encourage you to post the session.
 

So I joined this group quite a while ago but still have not had a session why is that?

This may be because your general area does not know about us or you yet.
 

Why do I see many photographers getting 2 or 3 or even 4 sessions in a row?

This may be because the first session they did told someone, mentioned it to another friend in need, or someone saw their pics and inquired in the same area.
 

How do I get sessions?

We assign them to you and we do what we can to get word out in the specific area’s you live, BUT you can help us more, you can do many shout outs on your blog/FB Page, tell a friend, tell another friend, tell a family member, look around you and you will be surprised at how many people actually qualify for a session and they are in your personal life, start with them.. once people see your pictures and see your first session they WILL come, I can assure you that. My 2 children, my mother in law, my neighbour, my daughters best friend, my self, my uncle, my grandma, my other uncle, my best friend… they all qualified for sessions… Once we did these sessions then word gets out in your area… THEY WILL COME!!! Feel free to nominate anyone you know that may qualify.
 

How do I help get a session?

The best way to aid in getting sessions besides telling people in your area is possibly expanding how much you are willing to travel as there may be a session that is just outside the area you stated on your application… we don’t expect you to travel 10 hours for a session (although one generous photographer did for us wowza) but if you stated half hour we may suggest you offer to travel an extra 15 min, we know these sessions are donated so we don’t fully expect you to go extremely out of your way.
